In recent years, paper and nonwoven products have received increasing attention for their sustainability. In order to replace some of the existing fossil alternatives, the industry has been looking for improved product properties to meet the required specifications. Cellulose nanocrystals have been investigated as potential additives in the paper and nonwovens industry to help meet these challenges.
